An incomplete later medieval or post Medieval copper alloy annular buckle. The artefact consists of the buckle frame which is an annular double loop. The frame is slightly elongated, being an oval rather than a true circle. The fame is sub-rectangular in profile, having a flat back, straight inner edge, and a front face that slopes down to the rounded outer edge. The bar is thinner and circular, with shallow knops in the frame at either end. The buckle is slightly convex and the bar is set towards the front face. The metal is red brown with a patchy dark green patina developing.
The frame is 23.7mm long by 23.3 wide, and 18mm deep. the bar is 1.4mm in diameter. it weighs 2.81g.
