An incomplete and worn copper-alloy vessel mount of probable Late Iron Age to Roman date.

It seems to be in the form of a worn human face. The face is oval in shape with two small circular eyes visible towards the top. Above the face is a semi-circular integrally cast suspension loop that has a central circular hole. There are incomplete opposing flat, sub-rectangular projections to either side of the face and a flat triangular projection below it. The back face is undecorated and concave at the centre.

The whole mount is curvilinear in profile.

This vessel mount measures 40.65mm in length, 39.72mm in width, 3.47mm in thickness, 17.89g in weight.

There is a similar example recorded on the PAS database from Hepworth, Suffolk (SF-254C92).
