Copper alloy and gilt glass centre boss plate brooch. Oval boss plate. The glass boss is missing. There is a rib around the recess for the boss surrounded by a band of punched double ring decoration. Around this is a plain rib decoration. The outer band of the plate is decorated with chevrons. The pin is missing but part of the hinge point and catchplate remain. The iron axis bar remains. It has a gilt surface mostly retained over the bands of decoration. The back is silvered or tinned.
