A complete milled silver sixpence, probably of William III (AD 1694 to AD 1702), probably dating to AD 1694 to AD 1702. Probably MAG BR FR ET HIB REX reverse type depicting crowned cruciform shields. Mint uncertain but probably London. Coin is heavily worn and has been bent into an 'S' shape for reuse as a love token. The reverse has a countermark of a capital letter 'K' and the obverse has a countermark of a sun made out of triangular punchmarks.
