Gold finger-ring, now rather distorted, composed of a hoop that is circular in profile and ovoid in section. At the top of the ring the hoop splits into two slightly narrower sections of rilled filigree which loop out and back to form an almond-shaped motif when viewed in plan. On each shoulder is a circular collar each decorated with three punched rings on the upper, visible surface. Inside the almond-shaped motif is a further 'S'-shaped spiral of filigree infilled in each 'S' curve with a gold bead. Further globes of gold have been added to infill the spaces between the spiral and the outer loop.
Discussion: no precise parallel can be found for this ring. The shoulder of a ring from Havering, Sussex (BM 1869,0324.1) has similar openwork decoration on the shoulders with S shaped spirals.
