A medieval to postmedieval sherd of pottery. The sherd is from the base of a vessel; the item is very abraided but there are two indenttions visible on the exterior which have been made by pressing a finger into the clay before firing. This 'crimping' style is seen frequently on local pottery dating from the Medieval to postmedieval periods.
