A collection of eleven (11) body sherds of prehistoric pottery, probably later prehistoric (c. Late Iron Age) in date (c. 400 BC - AD 43). Most of the sherds are tempered with small rounded quartz stones however one or two sherds also have rare crushed flint within the matrix. None of the sherds are fully oxidised. The fabrics vary in colour (due to firing temperatures) from dark grey / brown to a reddish-brown. All sherds are abraded with two examples fitting back together. There appears to be eight individual vessels represented. These sherds were found near an earthwork monument of prehistoric date and could be significant in helping to date activity in the area.
