Silver gilt Iconographic finger rings that dates to the Medieval Period. The rectangular bezel is double faceted with a female inscribed on both sides. On the left side is a depiction of a female figure (most likely the virgin Mary) that has long hair and a draped body, over her left shoulder is a radiating semicircle that is most likely a foliate image. On the right face is St Christopher who is shown as a bearded figure that is holding aloft the Christ child to the right. Below, their bodies are draped in folded robes, with St Christopher standing in water. The shoulders are also double faceted and decorated with a recessed branch that has three sets of flanking leafs and a pointed terminal bud. The shoulders narrow to the hoop who's junction is demarked by a recessed, moulded chevron. The hoop is D-shaped in with a line of pellets running down the centre.
Dating to 1400-1550 AD Iconographic finger rings such as the Virgin and Child as seen on DOR-4E94C4 and HESH-A784A7 to more simple geometric patterns as on IOW-B474A8
