An incomplete cast copper-alloy four-way strap junction of post-medieval date. The piece is formed of four circular loops arranged around a central sqaure; one of the loops has broken through. The loops curve into the square's field. The central element is recessed apart from a central pellet, perhaps to take in inlay that has now been lost. While the upper surface is moulded the lower surface is flat. The piece has a red/brown colour with patches of light-green and off-white corrosion product. This, the form and finish, suggest a date for this piece perhaps in the 17th or 18th centuries. One of the loops is bent slightly upwards by comparison with the others.
