A cast copper alloy, double loop asymmetrical buckle dating to the Post Medieval period (1575 - 1700 AD). The buckle is asymmetrical with one D shaped loop and one sub rectangular loop either side of a central, rounded section strap bar. There is a rounded knop at each end of the strap bar. The frame around the sub rectangular loop flares outwards and appears trapezoidal. There is a pointed knop on the outer edge of the D shaped loop. The pin does not survive but there is evidence of corrosion located on the strap bar. The buckle measures 32mm in length.
