Incomplete Middle Saxon to Late Saxon copper alloy hooked tag, Read 2008 Class E Type 1. Circular plate with central boss within tripartite motif with three radiating arms separating three sub-triangular panels containing deep engraved lines, narrow and broad bordering concentric ribs the latter outer one with multiple notches around the outside edge. Stumps of two lugs at upper edge, both broken across perforation. Point of hook missing. Broadly similar to ibid., 32, no. 130-1. Surviving length 28mm. Width 19mm. Thickness 2mm, 2.5mm at boss. 9th century.
