Post-medieval copper alloy end-cap of a scale-tang knife, in the form of a pair of addorsed horse's hooves with shoes. The end of the iron tang remains in a slot. Wear has removed most of the detail of the horseshoes. Length (excluding tang) 11.5mm. Width 14.3mm. Thickness 6.2mm. 16th century.
