An incomplete cast copper-alloy object of possible Roman or later date. Part of one terminal end of the object survives, the remainder now missing due to old breaks. It is curved in profile, triangular in section with flat back face and with moulded decoration on the front face. At one incomplete end the band/hoop has a flattened upper surface causing it to taper towards the old break and giving it a triangular profile. The opposite end expands to a large and incomplete moulded terminal. This comprises what appears to be very stylised zoomorphic decoration with a prominent central crest, projecting and pointed semi-circular ears, and larger vertical rectangular eyes. The terminal end is flat with a rectangular projection at its base that terminates in old breaks. The entire object has a worn and pitted dark green patina. It measures 36.02mm in length, 8.85mm in width, 11.41mm in thickness and 13.47g in weight.

This is an incomplete copper-alloy object of uncertain form or date. Its general appearance suggests potential usge as a stap fitting, loop or even a terret, although no close parallel has been identified. This might indicate a date range as early as the Roman period for the object, although a later range into the Medieval and later periods cannot be ruled out until such time as a good parallel for the object is identified.
