A cast copper-alloy finger ring. It is annular in form with a D-shaped section. The edges of the ring are flattened and decorated with small vertical notches. Between the grooves the front face of the hoop has moulded decoration consiting of what appears to be the remains of a Blackletter (Gothic) inscription of three wordseach separated by a stamped six pointed star within a circle. The inscription is worn and almost illegible. What little can be seen seems to comprise repeating letters e.g ioaai.
