A complete copper alloy strap end of medieval date. The strap end is comprised of two plates which are sub-rectangular in plan, tapering towards a curved terminal with a small knoped protrusion. The attachment end is biconcave and two rivets are present oriented along the longitudinal axis. A forked spacer is present between the two plates.
The metal has a mid brownish-green patina and is worn. The strap end is 27.3mm long, 13.7mm wide, 2.9mm thick and weighs 4.7g.
