A postmedieval copper alloy jews harp, dating from c. AD 1500 to 1800. The head of the item is sub -circular and the two prongs have been bent outwards. The central prong or tongue is missing. A groove is visible on the head where the central prong was attached. Jews harps are small musical instruments; the central prong is plucked whilst the instrument is held to an open mouth to create a sound (Egan 1998: 284).
