A complete leaded copper alloy probable unifaced token, of Post Medieval dating (AD 1500 to AD 1800).

The token is sub circular. The obverse depicts a probable crown above a small number 2. The reverse is unclear, but probably undecorated. A sub rectangular perforation (hole) is present at 3 o'clock on the obverse.

The token has a diameter of 14.1 mm and is 1.0 mm thick. It weighs 1.0 g.

The token is a mid grey colour, with an even surface patina.

Tokens are a frequently occurring find, with a variety of different designs. Tokens like this, were used as tallies or as replacement low denomination coinage during the Post Medieval periods. This example may have been used as a gaming counter.
