An incomplete copper alloy pin of Early-Medieval date (AD 700-900). The pin head is globular with four ring and dot decorations around its circumference. These features alternate between the upper and lower aspects of the pin head and have been punched in such a way as to give a flattened appearance which may be mistaken for a multifaceted style head. The full profile of the object however dismisses this possibility. A worn collar is present where the head meets the shaft. The shaft is uniform in diameter and circular in cross-section.
This pin has a corroded light green patina.
