A fragment of a wheel thrown ceramic vessel of medieval date. The fragment is abraded with a hard sandy buff coloured fabric. Numerous homogenous glistening inclusions are present within the fabric and the exterior surface is ribbed and coated in a speckled green glaze. What remains is trapezoidal in plan and despite advanced wear on all edges is likely to have been part of a rim from a large dish or bowl.
The sherd is 61.3mm long, 42.4mm wide, 18.6mm thick and weighs 58.7g.
