An incomplete cast lead spindle whorl of Medieval date (AD 1200-1500). The object is plano-convex and appears to be a mis-cast as there is clear evidence of the location of part of the central perforation and outer border, both of which have roughly cast/molten lead within/around them. There is decoration in the form of raised radial lines with groups of three pellets. The reverse is smooth, flat and undecorated. The metal is a light cream in colour.

See FAKL-649923 for a similar example.
