A Roman gold cameo ring. The hoop is made from sheet gold; the bezel is rectangular and has a raised gold oval setting with a repoussé design of a standing figure of Vulcan. He holds a pair of tongs in his left hand by his side in his right is a hammer poised above an anvil.
Notes:
This ring was reputedly found in the late 80s or early 90s.
