A Post Medieval silver groat of Mary, issued between AD 1553-1554. Initial mark: pomegranate. Mint of London. Cf. North 1991 Vol II, p. 126, no. 1960. The coin has suffered significant damage, which seems to be largely from in situ damage, rather than clipping.
