A fragment of a wheel thrown ceramic vessel of Roman date (AD 43-410). The sherd is the rim of a vessel. The fabric is a course sandy ware of buff colour with infrequent homogenous and frequent quartz or mica inclusions. Both internal and external surfaces are heavily abraded with some possible light pink slip retained across both surfaces. The external surface is decorated with two concentric incised lines.
