Medieval copper alloy finger ring. The band, which is slightly convex externally, expands smoothly from the back through the shoulders and into a flat, oval bezel decorated with a slightly off-centre cross patée reserved in low relief on a textured field within a double-ribbed border. The textured field may be the worn remains of keying for an inlay, no trace of which now survives. Worn externally, particularly on the bezel but retaining file marks internally. External height 18mm. External width 17mm. Internal diameter 15.5mm. Width of bezel 8mm.
