An incomplete cast copper alloy toy miniature cannon of late post-medieval date. The toy is comprised of a circular barrel, or cascable, which tapers in diameter from the bulbous knop, or cascable button, at one end to the muzzle at the other. The cascable end is slightly fluted with a double banded collar and circular perforation. Two trunnions, or basal lugs, for attachment to a block or stock, project midway along the barrel.
Parts of the muzzle and barrel have been lost to old worn breaks. The damage may have occurred through use, as this may have been a working model, or deposition.
The metal has a dark reddish-brown patina and is very worn. The cannon is 51.2mm long, 10.4mm in diameter and weighs 10.2g.
