A cut quarter penny possibly of John (AD 1199 to 1216) dating to the period AD 1204 to 1209. North Number 970.
The obverse depicts a forward facing crowned bust surrounded by the legend, NRI is all that remains. The reverse depicts a voided short cross with a quatrefoil in each angle. The legend reads ON with a pellet either side to separate the words.
