The cast silver head of a pin, probably of 18th or early 19th century date. The hollow head is made from two hemispheres and is decorated all over with punched quatrefoils, each foil being lozengiform in shape. There is a sexfoil with circular foils on the apex. There is a pierced hole in the lower hemisphere where corrosion suggests that the missing shaft was of copper alloy.
