An incomplete cast copper alloy purse loop of Post-medieval date (AD 1500-1700). The object consists of a bar with an upper and lower integral loop and small square, centrally situated projection on one side and a lower swivelling loop.
The lower loop is a sliding belt attachment, the lower aspect of which would have attached to two bars which would have provided the frame for a purse.
There are minor traces of gold gilding adhering to the surface of the pendant. The metal is a light green in colour with a dark brown patina.
