An incomplete cast copper alloy late Roman buckle plate of military type. The plate has rectangular and circular apertures in groups of three. Across the plate is a rough grid of lines and there are notches along the outer edge. Two rivets survive. The buckle plate can be compared with Appels and Laycock fig.SL10.28.
