Fragment of medieval or post medieval copper alloy spoon, openwork figurine cast in the round, probably a saint or apostle, robed standing male with drilled blind holes for eyes and engraved details overall, a probable book in his right hand and his left hand on his left hip, standing on a collared base at the upper end of a fragment of broken tapering lozengiform-sectioned shank. The figure bears some resemblance to those found on apostle spoons (cf. Homer (1975), p.27 and p.33, b). Surviving length 31mm. Width 9mm. 15th-17th century.
