An incomplete cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle frame of Post-Medieval date. It is missing most of one loop due to old breaks. The surviving loop is D-shaped in form, oval sectioned and with an expanded outer edge. The front face of the loop has moulded decoration comprising a foliate motif that runs the length of the frame. At the centre of the buckle is an integral bar that is triangular in section and has projecting triangular knops at each side where bar and frame meet. Hinging around the bar is a separately cast copper-alloy pin that is flat, rectangular in form and tapers to a sharp triangular point. The entire object has a dark green patina and measures 29.05mm in width, 22.47mm in length (incomplete), 3.72mm in thickness and 4.93g in weight. This is an incomplete double-looped buckle frame of Post-Medieval date, probably dating to c.16th-17th centuries AD (see HAMP-D9BB06 or HAMP-C86D15 for similar parallels).
