An incomplete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle (c. 1500-c. 1650).
The pin is missing.
The frame is convex at the front and concave at the rear. Each loop is oval in plan and similar in size. On the upper face of each outer edge there are three oblique decorative grooves. The narrowed central bar is sub-triangular in cross-section, flat at the rear, and has a small projection at each end.
The frame has a green patina with small areas of corrosion.

Similar buckles have been published and dated c. 1500-1650 AD (Whitehead 1996: 54).
