A copper-alloy furniture nail of Roman date. The head is globular in profile and plan with a diameter of 9.43mm and height of 8.88mm. The shaft terminates in a gently rounded point. The shaft has a diameter of 3.90mm nearest to the pin head and tapers to 3.04mm just before the terminal. The total length of the pin (head and shaft) is 17.35mm and it weighs 3.6g.
