A nearly complete Medieval silver long cross penny of Edward I. Probably North Class 4d, issued between AD 1282-1289. Mint of London. Identifiable as North Class 4d due to a pellet before EDW on the obverse; however, unlike similar types, there does not seem to be a pellet before CIVI on the reverse as suggested. Cf. North 1991 Vol II, p. 29, no. 1026. The circumference of this coin is clipped.
