Complete posnet with only slight damage to the rim. The straight handle rises slightly above the horizontal, is tapering slightly and ends with a downward curve. It is supported at the body of the vessel by a brace. The three legs are straight and taper slightly towards the feet which are simply the ends of the legs angled to form a flat surface. The legs are flat-sectioned with a strengthening mid-rib. The body has a globular form with a sharp out-turned rim. There is no decoration or makers mark apart from a faint band around the circumference. It dates to the 14th to 16th centuries.
Diameter of mouth 160mm. Length of legs 145mm. Length of handle 215mm, height to rim 250mm.
