Cast copper alloy ring of probable Roman - Medieval date (50 - 1500). The ring is broadly circular in plan and is faceted oval in cross section. There is no obvious cast or incised decoration present. The external surface is grey-green colour with a relatively well preserved but slightly dusty surface patina. The patination of the metal would suggest a Roman or medieval date.
The ring measures 29.0mm diameter, the frame is 4.4mm wide, and is 3.3mm thick. The internal measurement is 20.1mm diameter. The ring weighs 5.97 grams.
