An incomplete cast copper alloy harness fitting of late Early-Medieval (Anglo-Scandinavian) date - circa AD 1000 - 1100. The object consists of a trilobed terminal with integrally cast D-shape sectioned stem which terminates in a globular boss. A short and worn projection extends from the boss and terminates in a worn break from which the second link would have extended. The remaining trilobed terminal is circular in plan with a wide central circular aperture with three evenly spaced lobed projections.
The metal has a mid reddish-green patina and is worn. The fitting is 41.9mm long, 22.8mm wide, 7.6mm thick and weighs 6.7g.
