A handle sherd from a large Medieval coarse ware (MCW) strap handle. It is oval sectioned with longitudinal grooves or ribs, multiple oval shaped indentations and finger/thumb prints where the handle and vessel wall join on the exterior surface. The sherd measures 101.45mm in length, 56.42mm in width, 15.29mm in thickness and 115.78g in weight. This sherd is of Medieval date, c.12th-14th centuries AD.
