A complete knapped / flaked secondary debitage flake, of Neolithic dating (3100 BC to 1600 BC).
The flake is sub rectangular in plan, and is lentoid in section. Less than 50% of the dorsal (upper) face is covered with cortex (outer rind), indicating it is a secondary debitage flake. The dorsal (upper) face exhibits a series of ridges, and small controlled flint scars along the edges, indicating retouch. The ventral (lower) face exhibits a bulb of percussion, conchoidal ripples and a probable striking platform as evidence of working.
The flake measures 29.13 mm in length, 26.97 mm wide and 5.11 mm thick. It weighs 4.9 g.
The flake is a light to mid brown colour, with minimal surface patination present.
