A complete and damaged Modern two-part lead cloth seal of the War Department relating to the Army Clothing Factory at Pimlico, London (c. 1857-c. 1932).
This cloth seal has two discs connected by a joining strip at the edge and held together by a rivet at the centre.
Disc 1: 44 1/4 (formed of incuse scratch marks)
Disc 2 Two stamped concentric circles: [W] (broad arrow) D at centre; [PIM]LICO within circles
Coarse brown fibres are present between the discs.
The seal has an even matt grey patina.
