Lead alloy toy gun. Fragment from the cast stock of a miniature toy musket. This toy was hollow, probably made from two matching halves; an internal flange may relate either to their fitting together or to the location of a separate trigger mechanism. The external surface bears decorative vegetal scrolls and a cross hatched zone perhaps representing a grip. The metal is patinated on the inner surface only. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1700-1800.
