Incomplete Early Saxon copper alloy bow brooch, probably a Cruciform, the base of the bow, the footplate, and the outer parts of the headplate wings missing (ancient breaks). The surfaces are abraded. The integral waisted top knob is half-round. The headplate central panel tapers upwards continuing the line of the bow, which widens downwards. There is a rectangular panel forming facets at the top of the bow. This is hollow-backed and with a median arris. The single pin lug is incomplete. Extant length and width 40.5 and 21.5mm. c.480 - c.530
