A worn copper-alloy ring of probable Bronze Age date. It is penannular in form with oval shaped cross section, tapering slightly to the terminal ends that almost meet at the centre of the back(?) face. The exterior surface has moulded decoration comprising two deeply moulded transverse grooves separated by ridges. All surfaces have extensive corrosion and wear with only traces of the dark brown patina surviving and pale green corrosive products evidence on many of the surfaces. It measures 18.55mm in width, 10.62mm in height, 2.50mm in thickness and 5.08g in weight.
This is a cast copper-alloy penannular ring. It finds possible parallels in similar rings of Bronze Age date that are often found in precious metal (e.g. LIN-9F2713) and may be of similar Bronze Age date.
