An unpatinated long flint flake of possible Upper Palaeolithic or Mesolithic date. It is triangular in section and struck from a dark brown flint with some cortex remaining on one side of the dorsal face. The dorsal face has parallel flake or blade scars and limited but careful edge retouch particularly at the proximal end. It measures 80.50mm in length, 38.03mm in width, 18.66mm in thickness and 49.46g in weight. This is a struck flint flake of probable Upper Palaeolithic to Mesolithic date, c.40,000-4,500 BC.
