Late Neolithic to late Bronze Age black flint tool from a secondary flake. On first appearence it looks a waste flake from secondary working of a core. Closer investigation reveals further working and retouch producing two pronounced notches on the concave edge and two less definate ones on the convex edge. The fineness of the original flake suggests a late Neolithic to early Bronze Age date, but the poor execution of the finished tool is more suggestive of a late Bronze Age date of manufacture. It is probably a late Bronze Age notched scraper or blade manufactured from a late Neolithic to early Bronze Age waste flake. Dates to between c2700 and c801 BC.
The length is 30mm, and the width is 17mm the thickness 3mm and the weight is 1.81g.
