A 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle' toy token.

The obverse is decorated with relief moulded squares and rectangles, and bears the legend: Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles New York City Sewer. The reverse depicts the 'Sewer Dragster', below which would have been the legend 'BLIMP GLIDER'. This medallion was one of a group of limited edition tokens issued in 1990 as part of the merchandising for the popular cartoon series.

This token was found in the middle of a rural field, along with a thin spread of Roman, medieval and post-medieval artefacts. It is therefore recorded here as an item of potential interest for studies of artefact movement within soil movement/manuring.
