A cast copper-alloy dagger or sword pommel of late medieval to early post-medieval date. Discoidal, sub-rectangular sectioned, with eight evenly spaced radiating lobes, with pairs of moulded ridges between them. Circular recessed centre with a square perforation for the tang of the dagger or sword. Diam.32.5mm. 10mm thick. Weighs 36.51g. Parallels include NMS-73F2C6, SF-460208 and SF-56C0E8. 15th-17th century.
