Post-medieval copper alloy dress hook. Rectangular attachmnt loop below which the plate is decorated with two groups of four symetrically placed openwork apertures separated by a worn, moulded element above a V-shaped rib in low relief, the point of which terminates at the springing of the incomplete collared hook. The decoration is worn but very similar to better preserved examples recorded on the PAS database, including LIN-E98142, LIN-6900E0 and LVPL-702595. See also Read (2008), 104, no.402 - 404.

Surviving length 30mm. Width 16mm.16th - 17th century.

Class: Read (2008) Class E, Type 3.
