Cast copper alloy cruciform brooch with horse head terminal to foot. Flat rectangular headplate, 23mm across by 15mm high, with a single spike projecting 10mm from the top edge. No visible trace of any knobs remains. A single perforated lug on the back of the headplate, with no trace of any iron pin. The front of the bow and upper foot are decorated with incised transverse lines, and there is a central groove running lengthwise down the central section of the bow. A catchplate survives on the back of the upper foot.
