A silver denarius of Septimus Severus dating to the period AD 194 - 195 (Reece Period 10). APOLLINI AVGVSTO reverse type depicting Apollo standing left holding patera and lyre. Mint of Rome.

A silver siliqua of Arcadius dating to the period AD 383 - 388 (Reece Period 20). VOT//V//MVLT//X reverse type depicting wreath. Mint of Mediolanum (Milan).

This coin has been broken roughly in half.

Notes:

While these coins were found in close proximity and are over 300 years in age and contain a minimum of 10% precious metal they would normally qualify as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996. However, as the dates of issue differ by nearly 200 years it is unlikely they would have be lost or deposited at the same time. Therefore these coins do not constitute Treasure.
